Steel Plate Production and Technical Specifications for Shotcrete Machines

The efficiency of concrete spraying (shotcrete) operations directly depends on the material quality and production precision of the spare parts. Among these, the steel plate is the most critical component, ensuring sealing and facing the highest wear. At Denmak Makina, we manufacture our high-performance steel plates in three main stages.

The process begins with selecting special alloy steels with high impact and abrasion resistance. Following technical drawings, the casting and molding process is carried out in a controlled environment to ensure a homogeneous internal structure. This stage is fundamental in preventing the plate from cracking under high pressure.

After casting, the raw plates undergo a heat treatment line to increase their wear life. The hardness level is optimized considering the abrasive effect of the concrete and the rotor speed. Proper hardening minimizes spare part costs for enterprises by extending the replacement period.

To prevent air leakage and material waste, the surface of the steel plate must be flawless. In the final stage, plates are ground with micron-level precision. This smooth finish ensures perfect alignment with rubber plates, reduces friction heat, and maximizes spraying performance.
