What is the HKM-OTM-200 and What Does It Do?

Maintenance of blast furnaces and boilers, the heart of industrial facilities, requires more than standard concrete pumps. This is where Denmak Makina's HKM-OTM-200 Refractory Spraying and Transfer Pump comes into play. It is a compact system equipped with its own Pan Mixer that prepares and transfers high-heat resistant mortars (Refractory / Fire Concrete).

The HKM-OTM-200 is also known on-site as a "Gunning Machine" or "Monolithic Refractory Pump". Thanks to its integrated mixer, it mixes the material (Castable) within itself and pumps it to the desired point under high pressure using the screw pump (worm pump) system below. It plays a vital role, especially in ladle repairs and furnace linings in iron and steel plants.

Where is the HKM-OTM-200 Used?

This machine takes the lead wherever high strength and heat resistance are required:

  • Iron and Steel Plants: Lining and repairing blast furnaces, tundishes, and casting ladles (Ladle Repair Mortar).

  • Cement Plants: Inner surface coatings of rotary kilns and cyclones (Refractory Installation/Casting).

  • Power Plants: Refractory renewal works for thermal power plant boilers and chimneys.

  • Glass Industry: Furnace repairs and hot repair (Gunning) applications.

  • Chemical and Petrochemical Plants: Acid and heat-resistant floor and wall coatings.

How to Use the HKM-OTM-200?

For efficient use of the HKM-OTM-200, first ensure the machine is on a solid surface and the electrical connections are secure. Add material and water to the mixing boiler (pan mixer) and mix for 2-3 minutes until it reaches a homogeneous consistency; never intervene manually during this time. Once the mixture is ready, seal the lid tightly, open the air valves, and start the transfer. Maintain pressure balance during the application, and before opening the lid at the end of the job, make sure to release the internal pressure from the discharge valve. Because refractory mortars set quickly, cleaning the lines and the boiler completely using water and sponge cleaning balls the moment the machine stops is of vital importance for the machine's lifespan.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Answer: Our machine smoothly pumps and sprays low cement castables, insulation concretes, and monolithic refractory materials containing a maximum of 4-6 mm aggregate (gravel).

Answer: The integrated Pan Mixer has a mixing capacity of 200 liters of material per batch. This volume provides the opportunity for mass production and continuous casting.

Answer: Thanks to its high-performance screw pump system, the HKM-OTM-200 empties a full boiler (200 Liters) in approximately 2 minutes, rapidly transferring the material to the application point.
